I’m a queer, trans, Pilipinx-American multimedia artist who is deeply committed to social justice and being of service to grassroots trans justice movements.

My art practice explores the body as both sacred and impermanent. Through mixed media material, performance, and writing, I explore how the political climate, personal everyday experiences, and intergenerational histories impact our sense of self–our physical body, emotional landscape, and spirit.

Queer beginnings to now.

Photography, sketches, and random experiments from my queer artistic beginnings to now.

As a younger artist, I used photography and video as a way to discover my body, gender, and sexuality. I explored self portraiture, analog video performance, and writing, as various routes to be in conversation with my body, my form, and with others. My body became a vessel or tool to exploring the fabric of experiences, creating a record of the self.

More recently, I’ve been thinking about how our bodies and experiences are a collection of information and energy passed down and around to others and through generations. My drawings and paintings have been an exploration of my breath and healing.
